A Little Bit 03:07
Please don’t pretend To be my friend We don’t all make it to the end Fooled around Sights and sounds I’m looking for solid ground Can I get a little bit (Can I get a little bit) Of your love On the road Moving slow It’s all love Don’t you know Lost a friend From way back when Can I get a little bit Of your love
2.
Garden 03:13
What does it say to me? Could spend a day or three, oh oh Did you convey to me Another way to be, oh oh Take some time in the garden You can remind me to breathe Keep sharing your days with me Footsteps on the pavement leaves, so close I’m holding your heart it seems Wearing it on my sleeves, oh oh I hope we’ll never be parted A dream where you never leave We’ll live like it's make believe Ride our bikes beside the trees, oh oh What does it say to me?
3.
Museum 01:36
When the circus comes to town And the people gather round Would you? (Would you? Would you?) And with every passing day Would you look the other way Would you? (Would you? Would you?) Stuck up on the wall Read the writing bout it all Nothings gonna Nothings gonna change Like a museum When the canvas is too small And the painter couldn’t draw You’re not gonna You’re not gonna change Like a museum
4.
Passenger 02:48
In the front seat, waiting In the front seat with you Going nowhere It seems a lifetime away I don’t want to be I don’t want to be Passenger I don’t want to be In the basement I spend most days here Waiting for you Who’s in control? I don't know how long I can be second to you I don’t want to be I don’t want to be Passenger In your life I don’t want to be
5.
Once in a while when you call me Numbers to dial, you know me I’ve been waiting, I’ve been waiting What am I to do? Can’t help but smile when I hear you Bring out the child in me clearer I’ve been thinking, oh you’ve got me thinking What am I to do? What am I to do? Feel so alive when you're nearer Like who I see in the mirror When you hold me, oh, when you hold me What am I to do? What am I to do? What am I to do?
6.
Last Forever 02:19
What’s it gonna be today Is it gonna be this way Come to me Are you in a dream? What’s it gonna be today What we gonna see this way Come on with me, baby Come and see with me, yeah Are we gonna last forever All these days and nights with you My dear Last Forever What’s it gonna be today Hope it’s gonna be this way That you’ll stay with me Yeah, I’m in a dream What’s it gonna be today What we gonna see this way Oh come with me, baby Come and see with me yeah Are we gonna last forever All these days and nights with you My dear Last forever
7.
You're Free 02:58
As your mind goes away And there's no words left to say I can see in your eyes that you see me As the time slips away And you fight Your heart is here to stay In our lives I can see see In your eyes You’re almost free As we get to your last day We arrive As we take the pain away It’s alright I can see In your eyes That you see me (in your eyes) That you see me (In your eyes) That you’re free
8.
Get up, get dressed Cool down, forget All the things that have been so hard for you Be down, to learn Don’t frown, no no Don't forget who you are in all of this, oh please It’s now, that’s it The how, you’ll get All the things that have been so hard for you Get up, get dressed Come down, no stress All the things you feel in your heart are true

about

With his newest release, Slow Down, Miles Evans-Branagh, a.k.a miles from nowhere, achieves a Sunday kind of sound — laid-back, reflective, and intimate. Tenderly opening with “A Little Bit”, conversational coos utter “can I get a little bit of your love?”, inviting the listener to settle in and get acquainted with Evans-Branagh over a twenty-two-minute sonic sojourn.

Recorded at Fort Rose in Hamilton, Ontario, Slow Down was captured, mixed, and mastered by engineer Aaron Hutchinson, and features production efforts from Jason Bhattacharya and Miles himself. While primarily showcasing the musical breadth of multi-instrumentalists Evans-Branagh and collaborator Bhattacharya, contributions from Graeme Moffat and Devon Savas on bass lend loose grooves across the record, culminating in a vibe prescribed for the mellowest of moods.

Over the course of 8 songs, Slow Down layers smooth vocals, acoustic guitar, and organ over subtle rhythms tastefully seasoned with auxiliary percussion, creating arrangements that are deceptively minimalistic. Unassuming, and undoubtedly cool, beneath the singer-songwriter surface lies a foundation of soul and funk, presenting a record that could be at home between the sleeves of Bahamas and Leon Bridges.

The music of Evans-Branagh idles at the intersection of indie soul and alt-pop. Leaning on inspiration from R&B legends Sly Stone and Curtis Mayfield, Miles expertly brings feeling to the forefront of his works. A natural evolution from 2019’s self-titled EP, Slow Down delivers rich
textures, incredibly precise production elements, and a warmth that is felt from the first thud of the kick drum.

Contemplative lyrics sing tales of gains, losses, wishes, and wonderment that swirl in soundscapes with meditative effect, welcoming moments of reverie — a much needed reprieve from an over-stimulating world. A deliberate track placement offers detours from the leisurely pace, pointing to the finger-snapping “What Am I To Do?”, and upbeat “Last Forever”, as perky pit stops.

The listener rides shotgun, a passenger on an unhurried journey full of somewheres. Lyrically travelling from the garden, past the circus, to the museum, the songs play like Polaroids — glimpses of moments, fragments of a life’s story. Honest and upfront, Slow Down
offers a clear message: it’s not about where you’ve been, where you are, or where you’re going, what matters is who you’re with. Lucky for us, Miles Evans-Branagh is beckoning us to come
along for the ride. On the road, moving slow, it's all love, don't you know?
